Mayor Parker yesterday visited the new joint operations center for SEPTA, PPD and the city at Jefferson Center (1101 Market Street) and touted the coordinated City response behind a 68,000-plus-person FIFA World Cup match, the FIFA Fan Festival™, Wawa Welcome America, and growing activity in neighborhoods and businesses across Philadelphia.
Today, Parker delivers the keynote address at a Lifetime Community Impact Tribute honoring her former political mentor, Marian B. Tasco, and Dr. Adrienne Jacoby for their leadership and lasting contributions to James R. Lowell Elementary School. (1 p.m.)
